so i sprained my ankle on tuesday . #ao3author . i just got back into school since i took yesterday off to go to the hospital for it but they said i'd be fine so i'm here now. i have work to catch up on but i don't really wanna do it so i won't LOL. i have next week for that since half of my classes r gonna be cancelled. i have some ideas of plans for this site but rn i've been flitting through j*b applications and stuff since theres been a lot of applications that have come up. unsure if i'll take a gap year instead due to my declining mental health but that's something for me to just Think about.
about the site itself im unsure if to try to cut down some of the notes and stuff in the logbook. i dont have that much of an attatchment to throwaway memories as much as the actual logging of how this site is going but it is just 2-3 years worth of development now in here. so it is getting a litle long.
plans are now just to transfer the layout over and start filling in the blanks. if im lucky it might even look good! so thats what ill do today.

truly october already huh. ive been super busy the whole week because of catching up on hw i wasnt bothered to do. im saying this like im not in the same position this week either. 4 assignments, due monday, tuesday and two due on wednesday. im not having fun. today i did nothing at all. so i will be doing some webdev tonight, to feel like i have achieved something. ^_^

i have . No classes today . i meant to spend the last two hours catching up on the work i missed for spanish on tuesday but i got distracted with this site soo . yay ? im finally starting to roll out site-wide ui changes so i had to close down the entry page but i do want to also make some edits to it to make it more visually appealing instead of a really plain white bg and times new roman . i have a pretty decent to-do list on here even though i should really be doing other stuff yk. but oh well. no complaining from me today at least .

last night i finished off the main base of the new layout. i really like it LOL its really reignited my passion for this site and webdev in general and it makes me rlly happy .. today i havent done anything rlly i did some testing to see if i could do a bg image if i wanted or generally change the bg color (which i can!!) and that was fine so i think now its just the chore of figuring out how i want to transfer the old (current) data into the new site. i also want to keep a sort of homage to this layout so ill probably keep one of my pages ( probably the template ) up so you can see that in the future ^_^

end of the month already .. i did some work on the background sites again. ive kind of scrapped my old idea of a letterboxd theme site because i didn't feel like it was creative or 'me' enough so i'm gonna be revamping a new layout . i had a different idea initially but i spend most of my free time trying to gather inspiration for my own site by scrolling the websites tab on the neocities website itself so i found a new one i really wanna do and i'll be spending my time on that? ive been getting into ffvii so expect maybe a cloud shrine or something cuz i REALLY need to throw enstars out of the window in terms of my interests .. but this site is gonna once again become my passion project even if all of my work is oging out of the window. also im skipping school today #rebel due to home stuff which is fun

no real edits today. im just here to be sad

vent time again but its just me yapping about the dev of this site and life in gen .
so its not going well for me irl LOL i'm not gonna delve into it but things are going and i'm just letting it happen really. depression beating my ass. autism. the likes. i'm not neccessarily glad to be back in school but at least i'm not doing nothing every day. then i'd really feel like a NEET. but i want to do more on this site. i really do. i just don't know where to start. i don't have a vision to work with, i don't have plans. there's a lot i need to Do in order to move on with my site, and i just don't even know where to start. the original site i planned to look like this, i Wanted this retro style, but now i'm not sure. there's many things i've learnt from making this site, sure, but i just can't shake the feeling that i should redo the whole thing, even when i don't even know where to start. i don't know what aesthetic i want, what vibe i want to give off, because i know this will change the way one views a website. but in the back of my mind i know a lot of what i 'like' in other people's websites isn't the site itself, it's the visual stimulation from all the elements that i can't seem to work out. i've had a real creative hit really because i can't stick to just one theme and it's making it so hard for me to afctually make a site from the top of my head. it's been like that with my sims 4 builds too, because i've lost my touch with interiors (which is bad enough) but my exteriors feel like they're almost entirely the same as my reference image collecitons and it's the same with this site. i need to pick an aesthetic and stay with it but i don't even know what i like anymore and i just kind of rot in a hole of indecision 9 times out of 10, hence why the dev on this site has been so occasional. i don't like the new site i made. it's a ripoff of letterboxd that almost leans into copyright territory (if there is one) and i just want something more me, more original. but who am i anyway? yknow? idk what im gaining from just venting in my logbook but whatever.

in summary, there might be a revamp on this page. there might not.　いい未来だろうか？

bit more progress today honestly its really definitely a knockoff and i might do some retheming to make it more Me but like it's mostly done on formatting now which is nice. weight off my shoulders yk. half of the elements are transparent now so that's all well and good so it's more just subpages and general formatting

ok boring ass vent time; i think a really big reason i want to revamp this site over and over is because it's so important to me mentally to have something to work on that i enjoy and learn from but i'm never actually that good at it? there are sites under this domain that amass millions of views and all i do is send screenshots of my sites to my friends at most. it's a really sad existence because i know i could do better if i tried, but half of these really popular sites are the graphics, and i don't have the capacity to understand creative direction anymore so this site is always going through that kind of phase where i wonder if i could do a better website and do a better ui and just seem like i'm better at this than i actually am. i don't really want to vent in my logbook of all places so i guess i should make a blog at some point (ive been thinking about that a lot) but it's just hard to think about how actually bad i am at doing this because there are plenty of people who can do frontend and backend development and make their sites look so cool and cute and then you have this mess of just lines and boxes and pages that don't even work. i'm happy with the direction the letterboxd theme page is going but at the same time i want to throw it all down the drain because it's tiring me out to see other people do much cooler and original things with their sites and then you have me. i don't know. i want this to look good i might as well try a whole new layout again at this point but i need to find my own style which i already find really difficult. i'll get round to picking an actually Good theme or something at some point but it just makes me feel really jealous without motivating me to do more work. idk im in school emotions are always high w me or whatever but you know. it'd be nice to have something more complex to show people that isn't just my stupid unfinished portfolio site because you have no idea what my interests are from that site (and i'm keeping it that way). i don't even know what my interests are anymore but that's a conversation for me and my therapist really. idk. ignore me.

i just spent like an hour working on the hideden pages again and they look like a mess of colour but it's making progress eventually. it definitely looks like a knockoff of letterboxd tho not the real thing LOL

hi god it's me again. i've been back at school for two weeks and rn i have Nothign to do other than play minesweeper so i was like Let me work on my sites. for some reason this site has the same visual issue as my new one where any list bullet points show Outside of the box they're assigned to. i'm not fixing that on here because that would require me going back on like two years worth of edits (two years?? i dont remember it being this long) but its an issue im aware of at least. i wanna try to do some stuff to revamp the layout of this page because it's really simple and i know i can do better now bcz of my new site so that's probably what im gonna spend some time on (on hidden pages obvi) so like not a massive edit but it's more than what i was doing b4 and its more to do than my portfolio LOL

so... i said id work on my New website and whilst i did do that for a little it managed to be blacklisted by the school???? out of all the websites i have worked on for the past literal year or two they blacklist my brand new official portforlio one which is so batshit to me. it's the last day of school though so i can work on it again but genuinely i don't know how they flag my new site that has literally one line of text compared to this one that is filled with profanity and all the other BS i've spilled into here. what the hell man i can't even break through it without needing a VPN (whcih i cant be bothered to get rn) since it says the HTTPS details dont align with the tld even though it works fine when i'm at home like dude .. this is fucked up. thats all the updates i have tho LOL

it's been a while again. i've been looking into job opportunities and i decided i'm going to make a new website for a web portfolio or to express my 'normie' interests or whatever so i can say i can at least do frontent development and i can try to continue working with backend over the summer idk. i might stagnate development on this page even more basically so i can dedicate Some time to that new website as well but it'll probably be a lot less complex than this one (even though it probably should be lol) so i can get it over and done quickly but it may require me inserting some pyscript to show im not stupid or something depending on. idk . i'll make a decision on this one too but ever since i ran into like 7 billion problems turning the shrine page into a more size-flexible i've kind of struggled keeping my motivation up ++ school projects mocks etc get in the way. so i will be retiring this for a little i guess but i'll actually make a button on the homepage and do a few touchups on the shrines page b4 i finish up. but i guess for now i won't work on this anyway.

time has been going by very quickly lately. i was finishing my GCSEs this time last year. i finish school in two weeks other than i have my work experience but i'm lowkey looking forward to that so it's okay. i did some weird stuff on some other hidden pages like im wondering if i should switch the style of the site Again idk. cuz i have the current one but i have ideas like retro internet 2000s style/y2k i guess or i can keep going with a letterboxd style layout im not sure... right now im lowkey wondering if i should overhaul this or make a new page entirely and link back to that but its like dependent on how i feel for the future of this site. today i made a blue box on a white background basically. thanks for coming to my devlog progress

so its 1.48am im about to throw in the towel for tonight but forgot to update. so today i did some more formatting the bg colours starting the containers layout etc. and then some. its on its way. its not going horrible but its not going bad i simply am struggling. i did manage to recall most of my html abilities though so thats good.

so. it's been a while huh. i've been working on some python stuff that i Might add here on a backend port on tkinter or pyScript or something but that all looks really scary but i literally finished my mock exams like yesterday so thats cool i guess. i don't know how much more i wanna work on this website Tbh but i still really like all the work i've done here so i might keep it up ? or i'm gonna revamp this cuz i got a letterboxd on monday night cuz i watched the truman show (banger btw. go watch) and i really like the way the profile page Looks so i might steal that. today it is 11.50pm and i will start working on it despite the fact i should either be working on my compsci work or my new game which does absolutely nothing for my extra cred. pray for me LOL just wanted to give a life update since its been a while

spedran my hw again last night im a model student. anyways i was working on the shrines thing again only to realise the site isnt updating enough like ive been f5ing it 6 times before my changes show up which sucks?? if the school wifi is reviewing my site haiii ^_^ im doing normal things but anyways i Did do Some work on the formatting of the shrines template again. it sucks. i am so bad at this. but its a wip. and im also too stupid to code. i will not work on this for the rest of today probably but i need to update this anyway. gotta keep my #goals going

i bought the book i mentioned yesterday. i havent read much more than the sample but im so looking forward to reading more of it.

anyway im working on the deadmanz shrine again. decided to scrap my old layout i was going for but i managed to do dynamic sizing on Just the deadmanz page. ill roll it out progressively onto the other sites

nevermind i was using percentages on that turns out vh/vw exists so ill try to make and roll that out instead
